We all have people who have shaped our lives, whose voices are present even in their absence, who we carry in our hearts.
The idea for With You began with one of them.
Michael Glass was my father. Funny, charming and larger than life, he was everything a girl could want her father to be. In 2002, at the age of 61, my dad died following a short battle with brain cancer. As is often the case when you lose someone you love, I was completely unprepared for life without him. At the same time, I never felt like he was really “gone” because I knew he was always watching over me.
A few years later, my sister got married and I was inspired to create a piece of jewelry for her to wear at her wedding—one that would help her feel our father’s presence. I designed a blue-stoned anklet and added a locket with his photograph, so that, ultimately, he was able to walk her down the aisle.
I wore the anklet on my own wedding day too, and felt like he was with me on one of the most important days of my life. Knowing the strength and comfort it gave me, I began making similar pieces for friends.
With each new piece, an idea for a whole line of jewelry began to take shape—one that would go beyond anklets and weddings. Today, that idea has become a reality.
I am thrilled to introduce our new line of jewelry, honoring those special figures in our lives.
Ours is a story of love. Of mothers and daughters, best friends and grandparents. It’s a story of the people who shape us, who are a part of us.
We invite you on our journey. We invite you to share the strength and inspiration that come when you carry your loved ones With You.
